    Death Stranding 2 Platforms

Death Stranding 2 is exclusive for PS5 for the next year. Sony played a major role in developing the first Death Stranding game, and helped Kojima Productions complete the reveal trailer via its PlayStation Studios Visual Arts Group. However, given that the company has been porting many of their console exclusives over to PC since Death Stranding was released in 2010, it is highly probable that Death Stranding 2 would eventually make its way there.

    Death Stranding Story

Kojima has kept the Death Stranding 2 plot under wraps, for the time being. However, he did reveal a few details since the official launch of the game. The first trailer also hints at an upcoming calamity as Death Stranding goes on. Kojima’s original storyline for Death Stranding 2 was scrapped after COVID-19 hit. Kojima said that he started from scratch. Kojima spoke at the Game Awards “I had the story written before the pandemic. But after experiencing the pandemic, I just rewrote the whole story from scratch,” .

The main plot of”Should we have connected” revolves around the fact that the world changed after Sam went on his journey to establish the United Cities of America. Delivery is now automatic, there’s a new dangerous cult, and Higgs has managed to leave the Beach, after being stranded at the beach near the end of the previous game. Death Stranding 2 will be expanding the original’s ideas by adding hulking red-armored samurai, giant tar monsters and new locations.

The official plot summary from Kojima Productions is”In Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, embark on an inspiring mission of human connection beyond the UCA,” . “Sam–with companions by his side–sets out on a new journey to save humanity from extinction. Join them as they traverse a world beset by otherworldly enemies, obstacles, and a haunting question: should we have connected?”

You can explore a lot of interesting threads in the reveal trailer. These include the new Fragile who has a healthier body, as well as the possibility of a multitude of variations. Death Stranding 2 Cast

Sam Porter Bridges played by Norman Reedus, in the Death Stranding game.

Kojima is a big fan of actors and has been able to bring some major names on board his game. Reedus is joined this time by Elle Fanning, Shioli Kutsuna and other new actors. Reedus returns to play Sam Porter Bridges and is joined by Lea Seydoux, who played Fragile in the original Death Stranding. Troy Baker will be playing Higgs Monaghan.

Fatih Akin, who plays Dollman in the show, is another new actor. George Miller, director of Mad Max, will play Tarman as the captain of DHV Magellan. Dollman, a puppet that will accompany Sam on his adventure, is not afraid to fight people such as Higgs. Higgs is now sporting an outrageous new appearance, similar to a cyberpunk version the Crow. Neil is another character that looks like Solid Snake in Metal Gear Solid when wearing a bandana. This can be seen on the trailer for the Death Stranding 2 release date. Check out the Death Stranding 2 cast:

    Death Stranding 2, gameplay (19459099)

Death Stranding 1 was more of a puzzle than a game. Players had to figure out how to get Sam safely to his destination, and what equipment and route would help. The game had stealth and action, as players were forced to fight with the package-stealing Mules, and ghostly BTs that haunted parts of the map. But the core focus of the game was the journey ahead. Timefall was a new weather feature that added an additional twist to gameplay. It involved deadly rain which could take the time away from anything on it before turning into harmless water. Staying outside during a shower could also ruin your cargo run.

Death Stranding 2 looks to have expanded the genre mix. Transporting cargo is now even more hazardous due to weather conditions like lightning storms and bushfires. Sam is going to have access a fleet of new vehicles capable of traversing this dangerous terrain, along with exoskeletons, and floating carriers.

The combat also appears to have been boosted, particularly with the addition of all new enemies. This time, human enemies seem more intelligent. We’ve seen horrifying hand monsters, but we need to use a bigger gun to fight the skyscraper sized tar monsters.

The Social Strand System, which was used to foster the sense of community in Death Stranding, will be returning in the sequel. This system allowed the players to leave behind tools, gadgets and vehicles that other players could find on their own expeditions after certain areas were connected to the Chyral network. It’s not clear if this system was expanded. However, if the expansion is similar to the original, then it will be welcomed by players who want to lend each other a helping hand in an increasingly dangerous environment.

    Death Stranding 2 Soundtrack

The soundtrack of Death Stranding is one of its highlights. Its chill beats are perfect for relaxing at the end-of-the world. Woodkid is the composer of the “The Wilder” song that was featured in the SXSW Trailer and which you can hear in the above video. The French director of music videos has previously worked with Kojima to produce the song “19459087” for Death Stranding’s Director’s Cut Trailer. Woodkid has a few other songs that will be featured in Death Stranding 2 as well.

The Scottish band Chvrches contributed some of its best songs to the original game. While they’ve not been officially contacted by Kojima to produce new music for the sequel yet, they say that if he approaches them, it will be done in no time. Martin Doherty, the synth player for Chvrches said in March. Darryn Bonnethuys is on Google+.
