This new Pew Research report is timely as Meta and X continue to promote their latest Grok3 AI model.

Pew Research asked 5,395 U.S. adult respondents how they felt about AI’s potential impact and whether or not they use AI in their daily activities.

The results also show that most workers “worry” about AI in the workplace. They do not see AI as an effective tool to increase productivity.

You can see from this summary that 52% of the respondents are concerned about AI’s future use at the workplace. Additionally, 32% of respondents believe AI use will result in fewer future job opportunities.

It makes perfect sense. Even the U.S. Government is looking into AI to help streamline operations.

In the future, it is inevitable that AI will replace or reduce a certain number of jobs. However, in many cases, AI tools, as they are currently implemented, cannot substitute human knowledge and expertise.

These tools can enhance expertise and increase efficiency. To get the best out of AI, it is important to understand the results and any potential errors or flaws that AI can have. You can refine these outputs to make them more reliable and functional.

This question relates to the future of job opportunities.

Just 6% believe AI in the workplace will increase their job prospects over time. It is believed by 32% that AI will increase job opportunities. Fewer While 31% of respondents believe that it will not make a difference, the other 29% are unsure.

It’s also clear that workers with lower incomes believe they will be most affected by AI-driven logic, which is being used to automate more binary tasks.

As you might expect, the younger generation is most likely to have already used AI.

AI chatbots are most commonly used by workers aged between 18 and 29. Those with a higher level of education are more likely to also use AI.

It’s interesting to observe how AI will impact the future of the workplace as younger AI-native workers enter the workforce and whether AI chatbots increase efficiency or reduce knowledge.

It’s important to note that, while ChatGPT may provide answers, it doesn’t substitute for real knowledge and experience. This could result in more people getting the correct answer, without necessarily understanding why or how to refine it.

In the future, real knowledge and experience may be even more valuable.
